Mahi Katsiouleri

Jewellery Designer

My connection to jewelry began in childhood, opening the jewelry boxes of my mother and grandmother. Their pieces carried warmth, memory and the quiet stories of the women who wore them. Gold and silver held not just beauty, but time — passing from one generation to the next, gathering touch, emotion and history. This understanding shaped the way I see jewelry: as something deeply personal and lasting.

In 2020, during a period of stillness and reflection, I began creating jewelry by hand using hand-beaded weaving techniques, inspired by traditional Greek patterns and forms. This was when my brand was born, its name drawn from the words loom and geometry, echoing the structured, geometric essence of my first pieces. What started as a personal expression naturally grew, leading me to formally study the art of jewelry-making and silversmithing.

My inspiration is rooted in my Greek heritage and the landscapes that shaped me: the sea, the stones, the light, the rhythms of changing seasons, and the quiet beauty of the village where I grew up. These elements appear in my work as soft curves, organic textures and minimal yet expressive forms.

Some pieces are sculpted in wax and then cast in silver, while others are shaped directly by hand in metal — each piece forming its own presence through touch and time. I work primarily with 925 sterling silver, a material with timeless integrity, capable of carrying memory and being passed on, gathering new meaning with each person who wears it.

I believe jewelry becomes alive on the body. The person gives the piece its identity. My creations are meant to accompany everyday life and intimate moments, and perhaps someday, to be held and remembered by someone new.
